Now that I realize I really can wear belts (after deciding they were in my past), I’m enjoying this Carlisle belt from years past.   • It’s the first Monday of the new year so I thought it was about time I put on my Birch Coat purchased in North Dakota. I was with my mom at the time and as soon as I tried it on she said, “You must have that.” It’s my warmest coat and I’ve needed it in our cold weather.   • Happy 2020! Though we’re now into the new year, it seems as good a day as any to recall highlights of my 2019. Personally, it’s been a pleasure to watch my youngest daughter slip effortlessly into the role of mothering. Professionally, it’s been an exciting year to style outfits for my clients (and me!) using mostly things they’ve had in their closets for years and even decades.
