  • When in doubt about how to finish a t-shirt and skirt outfit, you can always add a jean jacket. Want to add even more interest? Add a belt! Now that I realize I really can wear belts (after deciding they were in my past), I’m enjoying this Carlisle belt from years past. My current style mood: There are few outfits that can’t be made better with a jean jacket and a good belt. #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • Sometimes fashion joy comes in the simplest mix. Three solid colors in comfy shapes works for me! #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • I’m not sure if I’ve ever gotten so many questions about a bag! Well, it’s finally time to tell the tale of this wonderfully sumptuous piece that fell into my life by happy accident. It was a rocky relationship at first, full of unknowns and blind trust. But I’m glad I jumped in! Read the full story through the link in my profile. And I’d love to know, have you ever purchased something with a serious flaw, applied sheer will to make it work...and it did? Tell me what it was and what you did! #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • It’s the first Monday of the new year so I thought it was about time I put on my Birch Coat purchased in North Dakota. I was with my mom at the time and as soon as I tried it on she said, “You must have that.” It’s my warmest coat and I’ve needed it in our cold weather. But the best part is that whenever I wear it it starts conversations. I always meet great people wearing this coat! Mom was right again. Do you have a conversation starter piece? #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • A bold plaid to bring in the New Year. Perhaps “bold” can be a word in the running for word of the year? What do you all think? What would be your word? #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • Happy 2020! Though we’re now into the new year, it seems as good a day as any to recall highlights of my 2019. Personally, it’s been a pleasure to watch my youngest daughter slip effortlessly into the role of mothering. Professionally, it’s been an exciting year to style outfits for my clients (and me!) using mostly things they’ve had in their closets for years and even decades. Wearing “old stuff” is the “new” thing. And I’ve been moved by comments left here on Instagram, on my Facebook page, on my blog, and in person, from readers like you who enjoy fashion and style. I learn things everyday. And now I couldn’t be more excited to see what 2020 brings me. Thank you for joining me on this wonderful journey. #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • I've got a new way for you to think about getting dressed and it's all focused on PLEASURE. You can read about how I got a minimum of 12 pleasure points from this holiday dress outfit. Just click the link in my profile. How many pleasure points does your outfit have? The more pleasure points, the merrier you'll be. #sixtyoversixtystyle
  • I’m in reindeer training. I’m hoping to be good enough to pass the exam in time to help Santa out. If I don’t pass, at least I got a new accessory out of the deal! #sixtyoversixtystyle
